SO, I made it! After:
A. 2 hour ride from home
B. 8 hour flight to Madrid -with this food that I chose..I will explain
C. 8 hour layover!!!!! - still salty
D. 2 hour flight to Sevilla
E. 45 minutes waiting for lost luggage that I had to get delivered
F. and a short pleasant ride to my house with Michelle Flis and Steve our Director
Needless to say, I was exhausted but excited nonetheless and I met my house/mate/brother and la mama or Tia Teresa as I like to call her and we had ice cream! Fun times! So it's tip time from things I think I did well and not so well!
VALE!
Tip #1
Prepare for lost luggage I almost did but ran out of time to get some essentials like travel size deodorant and put it in your carry on. It's not always your fault either things just happen
Tip #2
Try to eat as much as possible before flying because prices are ridiculous in airports as many already know. You could end up (like me) pacing back and forth deciding to buy the 2,5 Euro yogurt..craziness. Also , choose the vegetarian option when you get food on the plane because its just like a TV dinner and whenever its meat it can be a little iffy. It's up to you though. I also chose milk as my drink of choice because I don't drink alcohol, I didn't want anything too sugary, and I didn't want something with high water content i.e. juices from concentrate which I think all minute maid is either concentrate or has HFCS (High Fructose Corn Syrup) and I don't do that.
Tip #3
Charge, charge, charge, charge! Make sure your laptop and phones are fully charged and try not to used them toooo much because you may find it hard to find sockets (southern) or outlets wherever you are especially in European countries.
Tip #4
Always be friendly in airports, never know who you might meet and pack the travel medicines. I just learned this when I got to Madrid but I've always had stomach issues with pressure and everything whenever I fly so from now on I know that pepto will cure that!
~Peace peeps!
