Bites in Krakow

Okay the tasty portion of the posts. Jumping right into it, let me preface by saying Poland is so cheap and I will miss this with every ounce of my being. We started off with breakfast at a place near the center called Hulajdusza. I have missed a good breakfast like a bird misses his mate. I like that the place had a really earthy feel a la Goldilocks and the three bears. I had sausage wrapped in onions, toast, along with horseradish and mustard. I love Polish breakfast.

For lunch we stopped at a Jewish restaurant, of course, called Ariel. I couldn't push myself to eat goose stomach, livers, or gefilte fish but I attempted something. As an appetizer we had a Jewish dumpling and for my main course I had the turkey in raisin and almond sauce with potatoes. It was great to say the least. And then there was dinner. Ok, so something we had to adjust to was that in Poland it was getting dark every night at 6 and things here close a lot earlier than I'm used to in the states or in most of western Europe.

So, Japanese it was! You would assume that Japanese in Europe would probably be bad (at least I did) but it was the complete opposite. The restaurant was called Musso and had great service, thanks Elize, and was very high quality for not a lot of money. I had duck soup and a bowl of rice for like 27 zloty aka 9 dollars!
