Help Victimized Women With Your BUSTED and OLD Cell Phone?

Writer's picture: undefined

If you are somewhat like me you might have wracked up on phones that you no longer need or can even use. I also used to have those old trac-phones, pay as you go, etc. I'm really into finding ways to re-use your old items. Cell phones are made using platinum, plastics, copper, and other precious metals. All of this can be recycled into major stuff. If that's not enough to motivate you, this recycling can be used to help a lot of people. I had a really cracked phone and a pretty beat down blackberry. I chose to send these phones to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. This is an excerpt from their website: "NCADV partners with Cellular Recycler for the collection of used cell phones and select digital electronics. We receive a portion of the monies that come from the sale of refurbished cell phones to support our programming that helps stop violence in the home."

They also accept video game systems, mp3's, and digital cameras as well. I know that there a lot of other great organizations as well so I will list them.

Here you go:

I. Shelter Alliance - They will pay for the phone! (To my understanding ;) )

II. Cell Phones for Soldiers - Help soldiers call home I've used this one before but these phones were in too poor condition

III. Recycle for Victory - By NASCAR, This aid goes to a NASCAR-themed sleep-away camp for children with chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses

IV. Flipswap - They pay and donate a tree!

V. AmericanCellPhoneDrive.org - Will help out a local organization

Do good peeps!
